About Sunday Best Christening

At Sunday Best we specialise in the provision of beautiful English and other traditional christening gowns, rompers, dresses and occasion wear for your child on special days, whether these be christenings, naming ceremonies, baby showers, or other special occasions. We pride ourselves in our service and quality of our christening wear, gifts and accessories.

The company began in 1994, providing special occasion wear locally in Northampton. However, by 1996 we had chosen to focus on christening wear. With the launch of our first website in 1996, came an expansion of our market, particularly to the USA. Because our Managing Director married an American in 1981, we count ourselves bi-lingual between English and American! Having family on both sides of "the pond" we understand their exacting demands and expectations of service. Back in 1998, a search for christening gowns on the Internet presented our site, along with about 400 other entries - a search today brings more than 1.1 million!!! Fortunately , with the assistance of Freetimers Internet (our website designer and SEO specialist),we have maintained our leading position over the years and plan to continue to do so, by maintaining our strong customer service, and quality range.

In 2006, frustrated in our efforts to source products our customers were looking for, we took our first tentative steps into design and manufacturing ourselves.  The result is our Exclusive Christening Collection which contains styles handmade to our design and exacting standards, including christening gowns, rompers and dresses.  We continue to provide a comprehensive retail collection, but are excited by the possibilities of our own collections.  The ideas are flooding in - there just aren't enough hours in the day!
